As Aquarius season comes to a close (Jan 20–Feb 18), it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the energies and themes that have emerged over the past few weeks. But in fact, Aquarius is an air sign, and they actually enjoy the fact that people often misunderstand them. It’s almost as if they’re saying, “You thought I was a water sign? Aquarius is a fixed sign, so unlike the other air signs (Gemini and Libra), they can be a bit more stubborn and attached to their ideologies. While Aquarians may appear detached, this detachment often stems from their strong attachment to their own beliefs.

As the sister sign to Leo, Aquarius and Leo share similar qualities but express them in entirely different ways. The Aquarius-Leo axis represents the “Altruistic-Ego” axis.
