My Dearest,
I want to share something with you, something I’ve come to understand that might help you one day. Life will take you places you never expected, and I want you to have the wisdom to handle those moments with grace and strength.
There may come a time when you’ll realize that the life you’ve built no longer fits the person you’re becoming. It may feel like everything looks perfect on the outside—like success, like security—but deep inside, you’ll feel a pull, a whisper, telling you it’s time to let go. It might happen so fast you feel like you had a bad dream. That’s the easy way. The harder, slower, insidious way will show up as mediocrity, settling, never questioning, and being ok with just getting by. Either way is hard, but the slow process will be much more difficult to rescript and rebuild.
For me, it wasn’t just a whisper. It was like everything I thought was solid, everything I spent years building, suddenly shattered. My job, my relationships, my identity—they all fell apart. It felt like everything I had worked for was slipping through my fingers. But I’ve learned something precious in that moment, something I want to pass down to you.
That is: life’s darkest moments are the deepest pockets for transformation. The degree to which you experience immense loss and suffering is directly proportionate to the magnitude of transformation that’s possible for you. All you have to do is surrender. And the universe will show you the way. It will guide you on the next steps and you’ll slowly begin to alchemize that pain into power. What was once frustration will become your fuel. What was one depression will become your highest expression. What was once suffocating will become the ultimate feeling of liberation. What you thought looked like death is actually just a rebirth.
Most people hold on tightly when life asks them to let go.
They resist change, they cling to what they know, even when it no longer fit’s the next version of who they are meant to become.
But there’s a different way. A better way.
You don’t have to cling to the life you’ve known. You can surrender.
You can let go and step into the unknown, trusting that something greater is waiting for you.
I could have fought to keep what was slipping away, but instead, I asked myself: What am I fighting for? A life that no longer felt like mine? I chose to surrender. And I stepped into that unknown space with trust, even though I was scared.
Transformation is hard. People talk about it like it’s just a leap from one moment to the next, but what they never mention is the process between surrender and liberation. It’s grief. The grief of losing who you were, the grief of shedding a life that doesn’t belong to you anymore. It’s messy. It’s painful. But it’s also necessary.
When everything feels like it’s falling apart, you’ll have to sit with the reality that the old you is no longer there. Remember, it’s not a setback—it’s a surrender. It’s life making space for the new you, the version of you that’s waiting to emerge. But you must expand your container to be able to maintain the new you, and your new life. You must understand the depths of not having the life you desire, of not being the person you desire, of not activating your true potential. Only in that polarity of not-self will you find the fuel to push upwards and become the version of you on the other side of the imaginary limits you think exist.
When you feel like you’re losing everything, remember this: It’s not the end. It’s a pivot. It’s the beginning of something new. It’s the moment when you realize that what you thought was a loss was really life’s way of giving you something greater. Something you couldn’t see yet.
Life has a way of stripping us down, but that’s how we grow. It’s how we make room for the new blessings, the new opportunities, the new relationships. It’s how we make room for the person we’re meant to be.
What I want you to know, my sweet one, is that surrender isn’t weakness. It’s trust. Trust that what’s falling away wasn’t meant for you. Trust that the path ahead is greater than anything you’ve left behind.
When life asks you to let go, don’t resist. Trust. Let go of the past, and make space for what’s to come. The next version of you—the one you’ve always dreamed of—is waiting on the other side of surrender.
And when you feel lost, when it feels like you’re falling apart, pause. Breathe. You’re not losing. You’re being freed. You just can’t see it yet – it’s hard to see the picture while you’re in the frame. You’re being positioned for something far greater than you can imagine.
I want you to know this, always: What’s meant for you will never require you to betray yourself to keep it. And the life you’re meant to live will ask you to surrender what isn’t yours, so you can make room for what is.
So, when life calls you to trust, when you feel the pull but don’t know what’s ahead, remember this note. You don’t need to know all the answers. Don’t worry about the how.
Just get crystal clear on your why.
Trust that what’s ahead is far more beautiful than anything you’re leaving behind.
I love you, always, and I’m with you, every step of the way.
